Slim chances for Caucau for 2011 RWC September 07, 2010

Rupeni Caucau will have to fight hard to be considered for the Flying Fijians jumper for the 2011 Rugby World Cup following his termination from his French Club, Agen.
While questions sent to Flying Fijians coach Sam Domoni through email remained unanswered, Domoni had mentioned in an earlier interview that Caucau needed to get some game time under his belt to remain in consideration.
“We certainly want him back playing sooner rather than later,” Domoni had said.
A strict selection criteria has been set for all players hoping to be considered for national duties. Local players have to be actively involved in the domestic competitions in their respective provincial team while overseas based players follow the same criterion in their respective clubs.
The last time Caucau played was in the Pacific Nations Cup in June.
