Ella challenges team to keep improving November 29, 2009
Flying Fijians coach Glen Ella was happy with the 29-18 win against Romania this morning, saying they had finally ended the tour on a high note.
The former Wallaby praised his Fijian boys for the hard effort, saying it was the second half crunch that drew to they’re win.
“The boys really came out in the last two quarters, hats off to them for a brilliant job done.”
Ella said despite the win, there were still a lot of areas the players needed to work on individually.
“That’s all part and parcel of the game; you can never be good enough because the game is always changing.”
“I know and respect these boys; I believe they take with them a lot out of this tour, especially the local boys. The onus now is on them to keep getting better, work on their set pieces, defence, and speed and maintain this level of professional rugby they have achieved. The direction from here is up and not down.”
The team is expected to arrive into the country on Tuesday morning.
