“This was the first Fiji U12 team and we had planned to start off the test with a win and we were able to achieve this but the second game as expected was tough but we managed to pull that one out of the fire too.”
The centre looks up to his dad for guidance and encouragement and this was evident last Saturday at the TFL National Stadium as Savou watched his son from the sideline and gave his instructions and tips during the break.
Savou puts on his track shoes this week and will be running in the short distance race for Suva in the Chow Games.
For U14 skipper Ratu Marika Toroca, the opportunity to lead his country in rugby will be something he will cherish for the reminder of his life.
