The Fiji Warriors narrowly went down 11-14 to the visiting Waratahs in Lautoka, while playing under the newly introduced ELV laws, which will be introduced in Fiji later next year.

The visitors scored three penalties to first five Daniel Halangahu and a try to hooker Fraser Fitzpatrick for their 14 points.

While the Warriors, a team made up of development players in the local fold, ran a try through robust centre Naisa Narukutabua and two penalties to William Saukuru.
