Strongman Seuseu back for Jetsetters
August 07, 2008

Loose head prop Viliame Seuseu is eager to get back quality game time when he returns in the Nadi colours this week when they face Navosa at home.

The 24-year old Korovuto native joined the team at training this week, smiles of approval from coach Iliesa Tanivula after missing out on several senior players in their previous outings.

“Its good to have experience back,” Tanivula said.

“Viliame is a blessing in disguise really. I was beginning to worry about our front row after we were hit with injuries but I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw him on Monday at the ground.”

Seuseu featured for the Flying Fijians in the Pacific Nations Cup and earned four caps under his belt.

“I took a long break after that, I really just wanted to spend time with my family and recover fully before I decided to come back,” Seuseu said.

“I came to watch Nadi take on Ovalau last week and I missed being out there. I guess you really can’t take rugby out of me – it’s too good to let go.”

“Even the losing and the injuries, I just missed it,” he added.

Tanivula has named Seuseu as a sure starter for the Jetsetters and hope his inclusion will boost their campaign come Saturday.

“We can’t really read Navosa to early can we? The only thing we can do is prepare for all situations and commit ourselves to the game plan,” Tanivula said.

“We won the Sanyo Cup last year – and this year we want to win the Digicel Cup,” Tanivula said.

“We have a one game advantage over the other teams because we have played only six compared to their seven so if we can win all our upcoming games and manage bonus point wins then our chances look really strong.”

“Navosa has made quite a reputation for themselves – even in a loss they still put up a good fight,” Tanivula said.

“We cannot afford to get ahead of ourselves just because of our placing that can drag us down.”

Navosa coach, Tudai Drole refused to comment on his team’s preparation, only saying they would do their talking on the field.

The game kicks off at 3pm.
