The Fiji rugby Union will mull over who the new Digicel Fiji 7s coach will be this week.
After conducting interviews late last week, the FRU is expected to name Josateki Savou’s successor in the next few days.
“Interviews will begin tomorrow (July 16) for the coach and manager's position that's all I can say for now,” chief executive Ratu Timoci Tavanavanua said last week.
Savou had had half an hour to push his bid last week in hopes of retaining his job when he was short listed.
“I really don’t want to say anything at the moment about how my interview went,” Savou said after meeting with the Board.
Sevens wizard Waisale Serevi had been short listed too.
It is also believed former Guam coach Peniasi Uluiviti was short listed.
“The process is usually quite a lengthy one,” Tavanavanua said.
Dubai and George host the first leg of the IRB Series for the 2008/09 calendar at the end of November before Dubai hosts the World Cup four months later.
