Caucau back for Tailevu
July 18, 2008

He’s back and it’s official.

Fiji rugby’s prodigal son Rupeni Caucaunibuca will play for Tailevu tomorrow in Round 6 of the Digicel Cup at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

And he instantly became the star attraction after Tailevu lost to Suva last week.

Tailevu coach Inoke Male is a happy man, saying he has already won half of their game.

“Caucau is Caucau and he is a game winner,” Male said.

“What else can you ask for when you have a man who is worshipped around the world.

“Fans just have to come to the ground and watch him because with him I have the game wrapped up in our favour,” the former Fiji rugby loose man said.

He said his 2003 Rugby World Cup team mate is in top form after months of injury recovery at Nasau Village in Bua.

Caucau will feature for Tailevu before heading for his new Metro Club contract in France.

“We are ready and we will definitely beat Navosa.”

Tailevu meets Navosa at 3pm at the Vodafone Ratu Cakobau Park tomorrow.
