Suva Grammar School and Marist Brothers High School will see all their teams through to the semi finals of the Southern Zone Secondary School rugby competition this week.
SGS two younger grades, Under-15 and U16 will play their semi final match tomorrow in Nasese against Cathedral Secondary School and Ratu Sukuna Memorial School respectively.
Grammar looks set in booking their spot in the U15 final next week but it is in the U16 grade that they will have to fight tooth and nail to win.
The boys from Nabua have promised they would not give up that easily and their looking to their dream team to carry the Sukuna name high and proud for the finals.
Nasinu Secondary School battle the Lions in the U17 and U18 grade while the U19 division will see Grammar take on Nabua Secondary School in hopes of making into the national competition and win the Deans title.
“We take every game as a final, no team is bigger then us nor are they small. Rugby has evolved a lot these past few years in secondary school level,” Ilikimi Kunagogo, SGS U19 coach said.
“Grammar has felt the heat in the southern zone, so one can imagine just how tough the Tailevu zone and western zone will be.”
The boys from Kaunikula meet RSMS in the other U15 and U17 semis while their U16 team will meet Dudley High School and U19 taking on NSS.
The semi finals will be played at the National Stadium on Saturday.
