Second chance for ruggers Anisi, Fatiaki
May 28, 2008

Young Rotuman ruggers Samuela Anisi and Mosese Fatiaki have another chance to prove themselves after they were roped into the Fiji Warriors team.

The two were included in the Flying Fijians preliminary squad for the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup but were dropped from this week’s camp.

“It was good to have attended last week’s camp with the big players like Aca Ratuva and Graham Dewes. It was an experience for me and while I did not make the Flying Fijians I am not disheartened,” 22-year old Anisi said.

“One day I will get there but for now I am trying to learn as much as I can.”

Aminiasi Nava, Setefano Somoca and Aca Bibi as well as Saula Radidi, who were all part of the pre-squad, are now in the Warriors team.

Coached by Iferemi Tawake, the Warriors will play in the curtain raiser against Papua New Guinea for the Fiji-Samoa PNC kick-off on June 7 at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.

The team marches in for a five-day camp at the Kalevu Cultural Centre on Monday next week at 9am.
