Suva beats Ba, registers first win November 11, 2007
Ba’s hopes of being in contention to win the inaugural NEWWORLD Super Six National League Series was dashed today when they were defeated by Suva 4-2 at Govind Park.
This was Ba’s third loss and Suva's first win in the competition.
Suva’s Vanuatu import, Joseph Numariau was the toast of his side scoring all of Suva’s goals in the first half. Scores settled at 4-0 to Suva at halftime.
Ba tried to get back into the game but managed only two goals from Tuimasi Manuca and Keni Doidoi much to their fans disappointment.
The Vodafone sponsored Ba side has two more games remaining and still has a chance of wining the Super Six.
Labasa is at the top of the points table with 18 points, also with two games remaining against Suva and Navua. Labasa will need to win both their games to bag the S6.
Lautoka has moved up to second spot in the table with 16 points while Ba is one point behind at third place.

What's so big deal if Suva beats Ba after such a long period. Ba has all local players like Suva. If any team wants to beat then beat the records Ba has created, then talk or just shut up man. Every team is going to lose once a while. Ba is still Fiji's number one Team. No team ever will be able to come close to what Ba has achived, you people can wine as much as you want...Ba tu Ba hai

I agree with Humboss, BA ARE THE TRUE CHAMPIONS, I am a LABASA FAN, BUT WE respect BA as true champions, they are consistent, and achieved no other team has done that. But my heart goes to LABASA, COZ THEY ARE DOING US PROUD THIS YEAR.WILL SEE HOW IDC GOES IN SUVA.

To Shailesh, ko6sharma, and saileshkrish.....First of all we dont fly high, we are always humble before going into any match..ok laisenia tuba and few losses aside what do you guys have to say about your teams, do you really think defeating ba in a couple of matches makes you better than ba, well you can think again. The fact remains that Ba has achieved what no team has been able to do so far.
As for the IDC well your team can take it, nows the chance for you to match up with ba's achievement. Honestly i dont mind, if your teams working hard they deserve to win. So chill guys and all the best for IDC.

Pride comes b4 a fall . The higher u climb the bigger the fall .My advise to Ba is keep a low profile when going into any match .About time the Ba spectators are humbled on home soil .Other teams r doing their homework .Dont just prepare your team tobeat Labasa as Ba has not recovered from their loss to Navua .Theirs is nothing as revenge in the game of soccer . its a fact that when smthng reaches its peak...afta math it starts to decline abit......that so wat happened to BA........don't worry guyz,,no 1 team will win forever as most people thought, thats why they were scared of BA.......BA has achieved everything there is to to achieve in Fiji soccer and no other team has reached that height and it wil be a long time b4 any team does.............what few loses dosn't make us bad.....we are still the mighty BA and teams will still shiver wen they will b to meet BA....BA goes in every game proud and boastful becoz they deserve it.....and plz stop this jealousy cz we aint finished yet....we fite till the last breath......a few wins for teams who were dwn dosn't make dem da champs......mind you "ashshrm" ...BA teams status is beta dan u n your team.....cz u guyz had no wod to utter wen your pples team didn win....but we the Ba fans are there with our team thru win or loss.......we let a few thorns in our way spoil our ride. I think Babasiga Lions wud not want 2 win da IDC becoz they r da S6 Champs n they will b playing da CVC.Lions wud want other teams to win the IDC except Ba bcoz if Ba losses out dan definatly Ba will b kicked out of the CVC competition.I hope southern teams can do better dis time.All da best 4 all da teams in the upcoming IDC....

well vijeta i know that no team can ever achieve ever what ba has achived but that day at fiji fact (you must be quite aware of it by now)it was a totally different feeling when a northen team was given a standing ovation on a western soil after beating the so called western giants even the hosts lautoka who won the tournment were not given such appreciation but the fact remains labasa was the 1st team to beat ba on their home soil in 14yrs they were the 1st team to beat ba this season ba has privlleges of the soccer accademy lots of facilities but labasa without having these is still able to kick yur butts.......
