Leave it alone, says FMF Flying Fijians coach, Ilivasi Tabua on rumors that Rupeni Caucau could still make the team for the Wales game this weekend.
The Bua flyer left for France yesterday sparking speculation that he is making his way to the Fijians base camp in Moisaac.
“It is obvious that Caucau wouldn’t be picked now. He will not feature for the FMF Flying Fijians,” Tabua firmly said.
“Where the media is getting their information from beats me. This topic is getting old and boring. After we bought in Sireli Bobo, I thought that we would let it rest but still people are coming in with assumptions and rumors, gossip and what not.”
Bobo was bought in to replace injured wing, Filimoni Bolavucu who sadly did not feature in the Rugby World Cup because of an ankle injury.
“I have said from the very start, I do not want to chase after players who refuse to make themselves available.
“We have players here that can carry out the task.”
Bobo is a definite inclusion in the lineup to face Wales, making his debut into the tournament.
“He will fit in somewhere there. I am glad to have him he comes in with a lot of experience.”
The team meets Wales early Monday morning at 3am local time.

I would like to plead for a world class player...the likes of Caucau to be included in the run-on team to meet Wales...even just for twenty minutes or so for the sake of the nation for this one "very important game" and do not allow personal grudges to come into the fore. We all know what Caucau can do on the field as he is a very well balanced player and can fit in very well in to the mix. This is the reputation of the nation of Fiji we are talking about and the likes of Caucau's calibar can only make Fiji proud. I plead once again to the Flying Fijians' team management to please include Caucau for the final pool game with Wales. Mark my word,Caucau's inclusion will only make Fiji proud come the final whistle.

what more can caucau bring to the fijian team, i congratulate the fiji coach for not including caucau cos in the profesional era of playing rugby we dont need a kind calibre like caucau when he wants to do things himself or in other words when he decides to go for the trials and make himself available when fiji needs him the most well done ili tabua lets be more profesional now and change the fijian way of thinking to all those people who are supporting caucau grow up and open your eyes the is the profesional era caucau is not the only one playing for fiji its the whole team, all we gotta do now is support the boys and get behind them cos surely fiji is gonna demolish the welsh dragons come sunday morning..

If we had wingers like Bobo and Naqelevuki starting in this tournament, I wouldnt think Caucau's inclusion was neccesary.... BUT our current wingers in this tournament are so bad that we badly need changes..I can not believe Tabua named Delasau on the wing again, he has not done enough imo to be starting at all.

Its simple,just abide by the rules,Caucau is not bothered to turn up for training like any proffesional player would do eventhough he was release by his club to train,....so why should the management dig deep to allow him to play.

Ok...guys,the 'Human Skewer'was once a professional & international player himself so he knows what it takes to mould a team together & that is most probably attitude/discipline,if a player cannot discipline himself he's got attitude problem & that will be a problem to the team management and will affect the whole team,the whole of Fiji knows what Caucau does when his club release him to attend trials at home...he did not turn up,when in camp he breakcamp and deserted the whole team & that is a headache to the team management. So for Caucau you spoil yourself, now it's hard for you to try & don the Fiji jersey...sa na yala sa la kina gonei na game breaker kei calibre toka qori sa na qai lai vakayagataki sa la i delaniyavu...nakoro.

blah blah blah blah blah, you guys need to apologize to the coaching staff. who cares about Caucau. Why do we have to treat him differently then the rest of the players. Qiodamu take back that nasty comments about Dels, because without him Fiji probably heading home right now. So why don't you guys just be quite and say some positive thing about our team. Tell Caucau to go back where he belongs we don't need his help. we need team work not individual, he think his special, so he can be treated different from other players.
