All-Ba NCC final as GM, 4R qualify

It will be an all-Ba Kriz Signs National Club Championship final at 3pm today after 4R Electrical and GM United both qualify from their respective semi final matches at Govind Park this morning.

4R Electrical defeated Navua’s League FC 4-0 in the first semi final whilst GM United came through after defeating Samabula FC 3-2 in the other semi final.

In the first semi final, midfielder Rinal Prasad gave 4R the lead in the 5th minute of the first half before Ronil Kumar extended the lead to 2-0 in the 21st minute of play.

Goalie turn striker Jone Ralulu also got his name on the score sheet netting the third goal for 4R in the 26th minute of the first half.

In the second half, left back Marika Madigi sealed the win with his 43rd minute goal taking the tally to 4-0.

Meanwhile, in the second semi final, veteran defender Malakai Kanihewe gave GM United an early lead with a third minute goal against Samabula before Junior Narendra Rao added their second in the 18th minute.

Samabula defender Nitan Kumar pulled one back in the 22nd minute, however three minute later striker Peter Hughes extended GM United's lead to 3-1 with a 25th minute goal.

GM United led 3-1 at half time.

Sedrick Dutt narrowed the deficit with Samabula's second goal in the 50th minute, but its was not enough for the Suva based club.
