The Fiji Under-18 rugby side is hunting for their second win, this time against Australia A High School boys in their Australian Tour tomorrow night.
The side won their first game against New South Wales Combine 53-10 but manager Meli Tora believes their biggest challenge is against the Australian A high school team.
“It’s an equal match,” he said.
“We have the cream of the high school talent from around Fiji and they have the cream of talent from around Australia. It is going to an interesting game.”
Tora admitted in their first win, Fiji struggled and the difference in size stood out like a sore thumb.
“We do not have the facilities and technology that they are exposed to and we could tell the difference during the game.”
“However the boys played with a lot of heart and I believe that was what gave us the edge over the NSW Combine team,” he added.
The match between the Fiji U18 against Australia A school boys is the first of two matches. Their second match will be played next weekend as the curtain raiser to the Bledisloe test between Wallabies and the All Blacks at ANZ Stadium.
