The first delegation from Rugby World Cup visitors rolled through Tauranga this week, checking the rooms, fixtures and fitting and going for a stroll about their training field The Domain.
"We are signing off on the facilities we have been allocated," says Fiji Rugby Union CEO Keni Dakuidreketi told www.sunlive.co.nz.
They have been checking the size of their rooms, the configuration of the rooms allocated to the Fiji team at The Sebel, and checking out training facilities at The Gym, the Greerton pool and the Queen Elizabeth Centre.
"We want to make sure they are all there," said Dakuidreketi.
Tauranga will be home to the Fiji team before their first game in Rotorua, after which they will move to Wellington for the next game. The Fijians will return to Tauranga five days before their Hamilton game.
Tauranga will also be hosting the Russians who arrive for their site visit on September 4, and the Samoans. The Fijians and Samoans are in the same pool - with Wales and South Africa.
The delegation arrived from Rotorua on Wednesday morning were expected to depart for Wellington at 5.15pm.
