Sale Sharks have given former Suva rugby player, Marika Vakacegu the boot for not measuring up.

The Manchester Evening Star reported that Vakacegu who has been with Sale for just one season was let go because, “the brutal truth is that despite the odd highlight, the 28-year old didn't quite make the grade at the highest level.”

Vakacegu arrived into Sale from Cornish Pirates. It is not clear if he has been approached by any other international clubs but Vakacegu is expected back in Fiji by next month.
