Nasinu confident ahead of Suva clash July 30, 2010
By Reginald Chandar Bottom placed Nasinu is keeping a positive attitude ahead of its National League fixture against neighbors Suva this weekend.
The southerners have been one of the most inconsistent teams this season despite signing players from other districts in the new player transfer window.
Association secretary Ritesh Pal said the team has been preparing well for the match despite facing some ground problems earlier in the week.
“Preparations are now in order as there were some problems in getting a training ground which has been solved,” he said.
“All the players are attending training expect for Anish Kumar who is been rested upon the advice of our team Physiotherapist.”
“The team has not been consistent throughout this season in terms of lineup and player movement which has seen the team failing to build a formidable combination and currently we are working on improving this.”
Pal also confirmed that Tagi Vonolagi was in charge of the team as its coach and Ravuama Madigi was still on leave.
When questioned about the $5000 fine slapped on Nasinu Football Association for its abandoned match against Ba in the National Football League, Pal said the officials will only be in a position to comment after receiving a formal correspondence from Fiji Football Association.
Goalkeeper Zoheb Alfaaz, Leone Damudamu, Maciu Tuilau, Sumeet Krishan, Robert Nair, David Matavesi, James Mckay will be the key players for Nasinu against the Whites who will bank on the likes of Emori Ragata, Samuela Vula, Joseph Nimariau, Inosi Cava, Lisala Vetaukula and Waisake Navunigasau.
The Nivea Nasinu vs BIC/Power Electric Suva match kicks off at 3pm on Sunday at the tfl National Stadium.
