Chamakh nets first Arsenal goal in friendly
July 28, 2010

Marouane Chamakh scored his first goal for Arsenal in a 4-0 pre-season victory over Austrian third-division side SC Neusiedl in Austria on Tuesday.

The Moroccan international striker, who signed on a free transfer from Bordeaux this summer, came off the bench at half-time and netted a calmly taken penalty five minutes later after he had been tripped inside the box.

England winger Theo Walcott had given Arsene Wenger's side the lead in the 28th minute when he slammed home from Samir Nasri's pass.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas made it 2-0, with Mexican striker Carlos Vela sealing the victory in the 65th minute by lobbing the goalkeeper.

Arsenal begin the 2010-11 Premier League season at Liverpool on August 15.
