Fiji FA sticks with Fiji FACT dates
March 22, 2010

The Fiji Football Association will not adjust the dates of the Fiji FACT although the Ratu Sukuna public holiday on which the tournament fell has been removed from the list of public holidays by cabinet.

The Fiji FACT was scheduled for 27-30 and will go on as planned says Fiji FA chief executive officer, Bob Kumar.

“Yes, the tournament will be played on the dates that were earlier released but there will be some changes to the fixtures now since Friday 28th will be a normal working day.”

“With Friday being a normal day, the whole day’s fixtures might have to be adjusted.”

“It’s too early for me to make a statement about the fixtures and other things but the board will meet soon to decide on how best we can organize things to suit all the stakeholders” said Kumar.

Lautoka will host the Fiji FACT while Navua is the defending champion of the first major tournament on the Fiji FA calendar.
