Ali returns as Blues prepare for Tafea clash
March 22, 2010

The Lautoka Football Association has given coach Imdad Ali the green light to continue his job as the Blues prepare for their final O League clash against Tafea FC of Vanuatu.

Ali appeared before the disciplinary committee of LFA last Thursday and was given the terms and conditions which he has to comply by while performing his duties as the district coach.

Lautoka soccer boss Shalendra Prasad said with the return of the coach, the team should work on their weak areas and prepare well for the Tafea clash.

“The coach appeared before the committee and denied the claims and after discussions we have allowed him to continue but have laid strict terms and conditions which he has to abide by while acting as the coach of the team.”

“We have sorted out the coaching issue now and the focus has shifted to the Tafea game in which we still stand a chance of qualifying.”

“It will be a crucial match for both the teams as a win to either will keep them in the loop with the result of the Hekari-Marist game to determine it all in the pool.”

“The training proper starts from today under Ali’s guidance and we should be able to travel with a well prepared and fit team on Saturday.”

According to Prasad, they agreed to play the match a day earlier than scheduled as OFC wants to have both the deciding the matches played on the same day and time.

“We will be flying out on Saturday morning and will be playing the match on the same afternoon instead of Sunday as OFC wants the games to start at the same time.”

“We also believe in fair play and have agreed to play the match on Saturday instead of Sunday so all the three teams in the running can give their best shot in their respective last group matches” he added.

The Shop and Save Lautoka- Tafea FC match kicks off at 3pm (FT)

At last Shalendra Prasad got the message that without coach, you can not win a game. Because of his stupid decision to send coach Imdad Ali on leave ... because of his wrong decision, Lautoka lost the O Leaque.
