Lionel Messi is having a fantastic game in Barcelona’s Champions League clash against Stuttgart with Barca leading 2-0 at halftime.
As expected, Barcelona dominated possession at the Nou Camp, with Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi and Pedro more fluid in attack.
Messi stormed at the Stuttgart defence and punished them by lashing a stunning drive into the top corner from 20 yards out. Jens Lehmann in the Stuttgart goal had no chance as Barcelona opened their account.
Messi and Yaya Toure combined for Barca’s second goal setting Pedro in clear to tap the ball into an open net.
In the other last 16 match, Bordeaux is enjoying a 1-0 lead over Olympiakos at halftime.
Yoann Gourcuff puts Bordeaux up with a brilliant whipped free-kick from wide on the left into the far top corner.
