Navua registered its first National Football League win after defeating Tavua 2-0 at Garvey Park on Saturday.

Navua’s two goals came in the first half to Siga Ali and Monit Chand.

President Anil Sharma was not too happy with the win saying they had
missed a lot of scoring opportunities in the game.

“A win is a win and we have nothing to complain about that but we could
have scored more,” he said.

“I thank the boys for their hard effort.”

Navua now has four points now after this win.

Meanwhile Tavua coach Shalen Roy said it was unfortunate they lost but
the better team won at the end of the day.
