The Nadroga football side is desperate to register a win in its National Football League fixture against the Fiji U20 tonight at Lawaqa Park.
The Coral Coast boys who finished the last season on an improved fifth placing have so far registered two draws and two losses from their four matches.
Association president Dr Dhirendra Lal says his brigade is ready and will be out to bag three points from the match.
“Training has gone well and all the key players will be in action for Nadroga tonight against the Fiji U20.”
“The morale in camp is high after our 2-2 draw against Navua last weekend and the special bonus given to the players after that match has surely raised their spirit.”
“There were some elements that were trying to lure the players away from training and discourage them from giving their best for the district but the players have decided to give their loyalty to the district and I salute them for taking up the commitment.”
“We will see what sort of action we can take on these people who are trying to bring disrepute to the sport but right now our focus on the match tonight and we will surely be gunning for first win.”
“The Fiji U20 team has been in camp for sometime and have prepared under top coaches therefore we will not be underestimating them at all.”
“Three of our key players; Jonas Naceva, Sitiveni Watkins and Vineet Kumar are in the team and they surely will be tough opponents” Lal added.
In-form striker Samuela Drudru who has already netted four goals in the NFL will be a key player in the Abraham Watkins coached side tonight alongside the likes of John Rounds Junior, Archie Watkins, Ranjit Singh, Luke Rawadamu, Pauliasi Gavidi and goalie Thomas Coster.
The Fiji U20 side on the other hand will be looking to strengthen their combination in the match and continue with their impressive form from last weekend.
Striker Abbu Zahid Saheed who got a hat-rick against Tavua will be a key man upfront in the Poasa Bainivalu skippered side.
