Fiji Swimming renews sponsorship

Fiji Swimming has renewed its sponsorship partnership with Pacific Sun, Fiji’s Regional and Domestic Airline, has been renewed for 2010.

Pacific Sun will sponsor the five main competitions as well as the Fiji Swimming Awards which recognizes the achievements during the year by clubs, swimmers, coaches, technical officials and administrators.

Fiji Swimming intends to have a strong and motivated swimming team in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, 2011 Pacific Games in New Caledonia, 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai, 2010 and 2012 Oceania Championships and the 2012 Olympics to be held in London.

The development of a powerful national swimming team is a lengthy, complex process that requires lots of dedication and commitment from athletes and officials.

Fiji Swimming needs extensive support systems to achieve its challenging goals at the above international meets.

With the support of Pacific Sun, Fiji Swimming will be able to provide an opportunity for competitive swimmers to pursue their dream of representing Fiji well at future international meets.

The following competitions will be sponsored by Pacific Sun:
 2010 Short Course Age Group Championships, Nadi, 19th – 22nd March
 2010 Short Course Open Championships, Suva, 11th -14th June
 2010 Long Course Age Group Championships, Suva, 8th -11th October
 2010 Long Course Open Championships, Suva, 26th-27th November
 2010 Fiji Swimming Awards, Nadi, 4th December

The Pacific Sun Fiji National Long Course and Short Course Swimming Competitions are held each year and have up to 400 local swimmers from seven clubs taking part.

These competitions are the pinnacle of Fiji Swimming’s competition calendar every year.
