Weightlifters Manueli Tulo and Maria Liku have been named the Sportsman and Sportswoman of the year 2009.

The pair were chosen by a panel of judges and were named as Fiji's best at the FASANOC Sports Awards night at the Holiday Inn last night.

In other awards Fiji's sprint king Niko Verekauta was named sports personality of the year while Athletics Fiji's Bola Tafou was named coach of the year.
