Nawatu's goals help Lautoka beat Navua February 28, 2010
Lautoka striker Valerio Nawatu scored two goals to see the Blues defeat Navua 4-0 and maintain their unbeaten record for their third consecutive win in this season’s National League Series.
The feature match of round two of NSL saw Lautoka dominate both the halves leaving Navua completely lost and fazed as the Blues registered two goals to lead at halftime from Kamal Hassan in the 6th minute and Alvin Avinesh in the 24th minute.
Lautoka defended their lead well and did not give a chance for the Navua strikers to get away with any goals.
Their hard effort was rewarded when former Navua player Nawatu scored his first of two goals in the 23rd minute of the second half.
Nawatu’s second goal was an easy sail into the Navua net when Navua keeper and captain lost communication to clear the ball off the danger zone.
"We're happy we've regiestered another three ponits and boost our stand in the points table," Shalendra Prasad, Lautoka boss said.
"I take my hats off to the boys. We've been receiving alot of slak lately from other district fans but again and again we prove that we are capable of beating top teams in Fiji."
Meanwhile in the other NSL fixture, Nasinu drew with Nadi 1-all.
Nasinu’s goal came from Niten Kumar while Nadi’s equalizer came from Ravneel Naicker.
May be Anil Sharma has some respect for the Lautoka team now. A person who boasts too much gets it sometime.

So the bluz have proved that they are capable of defeating any team in the country. This should be a good lesson to Sharma that money cannot buy you everything. Sharma you can now do a investigation with your own officials to see if it was a fix match. As no one believes that star studded Navua can get that type of hiding. So in the next match against nadro dont be surprised if you lose again as the time for Navua is over now. Go Bluzzzzz ab koun roki bluz ke.
