Match fixing allegations baseless says Khan February 07, 2010
The Fiji Football Association will not investigate the allegations from Navua Football against Lautoka for match fixing in their Champion versus Champion 7-0 win over Ba until they are provided with solid evidence.
Fiji Football association president Dr Sahu Khan said allegations were void if there wasn’t solid evidence to back it up.
“We cannot do anything until they provide us with such,” Khan added.
The FFA disciplinary committee will also decide later the actions against Navua officials Anil Sharma and Ratu Ifereimi Buaserau for their recent outbursts in the media - Buaserau calling for a clean up within FFA.
“Apart from those two, there will also be disciplinary action taken against Navua officials who were using vulgar language at the FFA Awards last night,” Khan said.
Meanwhile the venue for the Fiji FACT will be decided after FFA receives reports from the Labasa and Nausori town council.
“We are awaiting their reports, Nausori town council has to give us their report on the pavilion and lighting,” Khan said.
