Cakau spearheads Warden
November 06, 2009

Former Fiji 7s reps Setefano Cakau will spearhead the Prisons Warden Gold campaign at the Suva 7s series at the TFL National Stadium today.

Cakau will team up with current rep Pio Tuwai, Seremaia Burotu and former rep Lepani Nabuliwaqa.
Warden team executive Tatau Vakacegu said that the inclusion of the former and current reps will make their campaign exciting as they aim for nothing less than a win in the two-day meet.

“Our team has the likes of current and former national reps and its going to be an exciting campaign
because we some experienced players on our side,” Vakacegu said.

“The team has been preparing well and we also the same intention as other teams and that is to win the main prize. We’re looking forward to the tournament and morale is at its peak.”

Meanwhile, the number of teams taking part in the tournament has been decreased from 64 to 56 teams.

Suva Rugby Union chairman Vilikesa Rauca said that they had to reduce the number of teams because they want all of the pool games be played tomorrow.

Warden will play the opening game against Army One at 9.30am tomorrow.
