Tanivula releases players for Suva 7s
November 04, 2009

The Fiji 7s squad members will be released from camp on Thursday to join their respective clubs for this weekends Suva 7s at the TFL Stadium.

Coach Iliesa Tanivula is desperate for some game time for his players and confirmed they all will
feature in the Suva 7s.

“It is a requirement for all of them to play this weekend. We’ve gone through the last weeks of
preparation in training, this is the practical side of it now,” the Nadi coach said.

Warden will have the services of Setefano Cakau, Pio Tuiwai, Seremaia Burotu and Lepani Nabuliwaqa while Etonia Naba and Emosi Vucago will spearhead Nadroga’s Sandhill team.

Suva under the guidance of Kalisto Tunaulu will have the services of Peni Rokodiva and Osea Kolinisau.

“I have spoken to each player, its important that they know how important this outing is but at the same time exercise caution in fear of injuries.”

Tanivula said he will be out and about in two-day competition that kicks off on Friday morning, keeping an eye out for talent.

“I will always be on the look out and so will the national selectors. I really am looking forward to
this weekend, I believe this is the first 7s competition to kick off in the domestic front.”

“Talent is bound to be plenty this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing my boys in action, hopefully select a team for the first leg of the IRB Series,” Tanivula added.
