Nasinu eager to repeat FACT feat
July 04, 2009

The giant killers-Nasinu is eyeing an upset victory over Ba in tonight’s National Soccer League fixture at the TFL National Stadium in Suva.

The southerners who shocked the Men in Black in the recent Fiji FACT by holding them to a 1 to 1 draw with a late equalizer will be looking for a similar feat tonight.

Nasinu administrator Pravin Chand said the team has been building up for the clash and is adamant of a positive outcome in the match.

“Ba as always will be very hard to beat but impossible is nothing and we can beat them if we play with confidence and match them in all aspects of the game,” said Chand.

“Nasinu has shown what it is capable of doing and the Fiji FACT feat can again be repeated tonight.

“We have a very good mix of youth and experienced players and should give Ba a good run for its money.

“I am just urging the fans to come out in numbers and support the boys as the team needs backing from the stands to do well on the field.”

Nippy Nitan Kumar will marshal the Nasinu defense with the likes of Kaushik Kumar, Ashish Chand, Anish Kumar and Kalden Sam while former Suva midfielder Alvin Prakash will control things in midfield with seasoned campaigner Neumi Qereqeretabua, Robert Nair and George Gulu.

Sensational marksman Aldrine Kilua is expected to team up with Satlesh Kumar up-front.

Ba on the other hand will not field its best line up in the clash as some key players are ruled out with injury.

Strikers Osea Vakatalesau and Tuimasi Manuca, defender Jone Vesikula and midfielders Shamil Rao and Malakai Tiwa are all out.

The Ba- Nasinu match kicks off at 7pm tonight.
