FUTSAL players released for NSL
June 27, 2009

The Fiji FUTSAL Commission has released members in the national squad to feature for their respective districts in the National Soccer League this weekend.

According to FUTSAL executive Jainendra Sukhu the district officials had requested them to release the players so they could feature in the weekend.

“The districts want their players for the National League and we decided to release the players after talking to them as most of them are contracted with the district teams.

“The second round of the NEWWORLD National League is also important as there is automatic relegation therefore all teams want to field their best players in the matches.”

“Players are expected to join camp on Monday and undergo training under coach Imtiaz Khan.”

“National players will also feature in the Sun/Sharmas insurance FUTSAL competition next Monday and Thursday to better their combination” he added.

Players that will feature for their respective teams in the National League include Jospeh Mishra, Sandeep Nair and Dinesh Mudliar who will play for Suva against Nadroga, Uraia Loki and Mohammed Shalmeen who will feature for Nadi and Ba duo Osea Vakatalesau and Aisea Codro who will play for the Men In Black against Nadi.

Mira Sahib, Emori Ragata, Shivam Nathan, Kamal Hassan and Simione Tamanisau will not be in action as their respective districts: Labasa, Lautoka, Navua and Rewa will not feature in this weekend’s round of National League.
