MIB humble Lions 3-0, seal final spot October 12, 2008
Defending champions Ba has sealed its spot in this afternoon's Inter District Championships final after it humiliated the Babasiga Lions 3-0 in front of a capacity crowd at Govind Park this morning.
Goals to Maciu Dunadamu, Tuimasi Manuca and Malakai Tiwa in the second spell were enough to seal the Men In Black's final spot as a vocal home crowd pushed them throughout the encounter.
Labasa put up a strong challenge in the first half with Samuela Kautoga, Apisalome Turuva and Henry Dyer rallying the defence and forwards Joseph Nimariau and Roy Krishna having some space to move the ball and making attempts at the Ba goal.
But it did not take the champions much time to identify the holes in the Lions' defence and 9 minutes from the restart former Labasa boy Maciu Dunadamu slammed a rebounded ball from Labasa keeper Shamal Kumar to the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.
Labasa looked hungry for the equaliser and fought hard but poor passing and lack of communication proved to be their downfall as Tuimasi Manuca pounced on a loose ball and combined well with Pita Bolaitoga and Avinesh Waran Swamy to beat Kumar again to go up 2-0.
Malakai Tiwa then scored from a free kick to put them champions into the final 3-0.
Labasa coach Anand Sami said Ba was the better side and deserved to win.
"We played well in the first spell but seemed to fall apart in the second and against a team like Ba, you can't afford to do that," he said
"They were the better team and deserved to win," Sami said
Ba will meet the winner of the Lautoka-Nadi semi-final.
Ba fans should keep their mouths shut and talk after the finals.....Its all about Ltka....Defeating Labasa doesnt mean you guys won the IDC.....Losing at home against MIB (men in blues), what a shame...Buy more players, BA...Ba is Ba no more...

So you guys are only scared of labasa. BA ke zinga sab kude band kardis. halla band, mu band, sab kuch band. What happened to pITA and maciu now.you guys wana buy players and guess what labasa will keep on supplying players to BA if you guys need them.sour losses. one thing is for sure, BA IS SO SO MUCH SCARED OF LABASA.pita aur maciu ke jeb kafi garam raha.just remember that you wont win always and come up with silly excuses that at the end soccer is the winner.soccer is not the winner, lautoka is the winner.when you guys win you BA is the winner but when some other team wins then soccer is the winner so that you guys are included in that.you would have been no where this season if Pita and Maciu were not in Ba and this is a fact. you guys cant win on your own.and yes dont talk about records,they get broken always.ya ha ha ha

hey you guys couldnt beat a 10 men Lautoka team.BA SAK NAI PAIS..FROM NEXT YEAR YOU WOULD HAVE TO WORK EXTRA HARD AS LAUTOK AND LABASA WOULD BE THE TWO TOUGH TEAMS TO BEAT.start preparing and raise more money from NZ as you guys did last week. lucky saten and salen sharma are working for radio tarana but you guys would be no match in o league.ha ha

Labasa Fans have accepted the defeat unlike Ba fans who are crying that Lautoka used overseas players and blah blah. Tell me how many local Ba boys you have there. Had it not been Labasa imports Pita and Maciu, you could not win anything.

So much for Labasa. One thing is so true, once Ba reaches the semi finals..Very hard to beat them. Dont really care if Ba loses the final. They have already won the tournament by thrashing LA. Winning this tournamnet will be a formality. Woner boy Roy, i think that 'wonerboy' tag should be taken away from him. Hes just Roy now. hahahaha...Wonder wat K0sharma is gonna say!!!
