Fiji FA wants tournaments at own venues October 11, 2008
Fiji FA president Doctor Muhammad Shamsud-din Sahu Khan says they hope to save more than $85,000 a year by holding tournaments at their own facilities eventually.
“We lose more than $85,000 a year hiring venues to host our tournaments. We can save that if we have our own facilities," Khan told Fijilive.
This means that once Fiji FA completes its academies in Ba (Dr Sahu Khan Academy), Nadawa, Nasinu and a new one in the north, believed to be at Labasa, then these three venues will alternately host the Fiji FACT, the Battle of the Giants tournament and the Inter-District Championship.
“If I have my way then that will be done. We are leasing Govind Park, have our academy in Ba, the new one at Nadawa is expected to open soon and wish to have one in the north.
"We will have to discuss it as Fiji Football, but it’s in the pipeline to have our own venues and run our tournaments there,” he added.
Khan also said that more money is forecasted to flow into their coffers to help finance soccer in Fiji in the coming year.
“We are working on several projects which will help our operations technically and financially,” he said.
Fiji Football Association thrives on its formidable, successful and productive marketing strategies, having three annual major soccer tournaments as the main cash revenues plus grants from FIFA as it receives the least amount of financial assistance from the Fiji Government.

yeah i have a better suggestion for the FFA president why dont you just have all the tournaments in Ba save all that money and fill in your neverending pocket...kill soccer in fiji , get ranked the last in the world and hold the record for the longest and most useless serving president in the guiness book of records...oh one more, bulid a couple more academies and name them after yourself...cheers, go the blues
