Fiji IDC pools remain open on Day 3
October 11, 2008

With no team having qualified for the finals, the stage is set for an exciting Day Three at the 2008 Fiji Football IDC at Govind Park Ba today.

In Pool One Nadroga, Labasa, Nadi and Rewa all have a chance of making the semis while Suva has unofficially kissed the tournament goodbye.

However, the Capital City side has a protest pending against Nadroga. If the decision is in Suva's favour, it will give the ‘Whites’ a lifeline making their final encounter with Nadi more exciting.

Lautoka currently leads Pool Two with seven points after three matches while Navua is in second place with four points after two matches.

Tavua, in third place with three points, is still in with a chance provided it beats Navua and Ba in its remaining pool matches today.

Defending champion Vodafone Ba, sits in fourth place after registering two straight draws against Lautoka and Navua and needs big wins against Nasinu and Tavua to make the final four tomorrow while Nasinu has no chance and its match against Ba is just a formality.

Current Standings: Pool 1: Nadroga 5, Labasa 4, Rewa 2, Nadi 2, Suva 1. Pool 2: Lautoka 7, Navua 4, Tavua 3, Ba 2, Nasinu 0.
