The Fiji Women’s basketball team returned home with a bronze medal finish at the Oceania Youth tournament in Guam over the weekend.

The Meleane Moce-skippered side beat Guam 75-66 to retain their third spot in the competition.

Fiji was thrashed 8-108 by Australia in their opening game but bounced back to dump Northern Marianas, 69-46 last week.

They lost 40-70 in their final match against Tahiti but went on to loose 27-130 in the semifinal against Australia.

Meanwhile, the men’s team finished fifth after beating Northern Marianas 65-63.

Both teams return tomorrow.
