Fiji Under-20 rugby rep William Saukuru faces a mammoth task when the Fiji Warriors meet the Junior Waratahs this weekend at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.
The utility back, who plays best at winger could come face to face with Waratahs Fijian rep Ratu Nasiganiyavi on Saturday.
The pair met earlier this year at the Junior World Cup in Wales where Nasiganiyavi acclaimed international recognition.
“I have played against him and I admit that he is good,” 20 year-old Saukuru said.
“He is strong and fast. Those are the characters of a Fijian player. He’s been through the age group level with a lot of development and I am looking forward to playing against him again this weekend.”
Saukuru, from Sabeto in Nadi, is among youngsters breaking into the Warriors team.
“Anyone can be stopped and so is Ratu. I just have to look for his weaknesses,” Saukuru added.
“The Aussies will be tough because there are a lot of Super 14 players in the team but they are men with two legs and two hand just like us. They can be stopped.”
Junior Waratahs plays Nadi tonight for their first game in their Fiji tour.
The Fiji Warriors versus Junior Waratahs match kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.
