Turkey squad for World Cup qualifiers

Turkish coach Fatih Terim on Saturday unveiled a 28-man pre-squad for Group 5 World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Estonia.

The Euro-2008 semifinalists will be missing midfielders Hamit Altintop of Bayern Munich and Tuncay Sanli of Middlesborough as well as Villarreal striker Nihat Kahveci and Fenerbahce forward Semih Senturk as they are all injured.

The Turks are to host Bosnia-Herzegovina in Istanbul on October 11 before meeting Estonia in Tallinn on October 15.

Goalkeepers: Volkan Demirel (Fenerbahce), Serdar Kulbilge (Kocaelispor), Tolga Zengin (Trabzonspor)

Defenders: Gokhan Gonul, Ugur Boral (Fenerbahce), Servet Cetin, Sabri Sarioglu, Hakan Kadir Balta (Galatasaray), Serdar Kurtulus, Gökhan Zan (Besiktas), Ibrahim Kas (Getafe/ESP), Caglar Birinci (Denizlispor), Ceyhun Gulselam (Trabzonspor)

Midfielders: Kazim Kazim, Emre Belozoglu (Fenerbahce), Aydin Yilmaz, Ayhan Akman, Arda Turan (Galatasaray), Mehmet Topuz (Kayserispor), Mehmet Aurelio (Real Betis/ESP), Gokdeniz Karadeniz (Rubin Kazan/RUS), Nuri Sahin (Borussia Dortmund/GER), Caner Erkin (CSKA Moscow/RUS)

Strikers: Batuhan Karadeniz (Besiktas), Gokhan Unal (Trabzonspor), Mehmet Yildiz (Sivasspor), Halil Altintop (Schalke 04/GER), Mevlut Erdinc (Sochaux/FRA).
