Three more stand in the way for Tailevu October 03, 2008
Tailevu coach Inoke Male desperately wants to keep his hands on the Farebrother Sullivan trophy.
His side faces Northland tomorrow at Vodafone Ratu Cakobau Park – three challenges in their way before they can hold the coveted silverware for another year.
“We’ve come this far and held it won it 10 times this season,” Male said.
“Only three games stand in our way from keeping the Farebrother trophy in our mantle place until next season – Northland, Nadi and Suva.”
Male has named an impressive but young line up for tomorrow’s clash – one that will not shy away from the challenge.
“Northland has beaten us once in the Digicel Cup and we are not letting that happen again.”
“We are going all out to learn from that mistake to improve and retain the cup,” Male said.
“Northland is a very good team, despite not having national or former reps, they are dangerous. They proved that when they beat us and they will want to beat us again.”
The game kicks off at 3pm and while the air of competitiveness can be felt, both Male and Northland manager, Kalioposa Bogiva agrees the district of Tailevu will win at the end of the day.
“If Tailevu wins or if Northland wins – the district of Tailevu wins,” Bogiva said.
