Fiji U12 team holds Brazil to a draw September 04, 2008
The Fiji Under-12 soccer team held Brazil to a nil-all draw in a friendly match in France yesterday.
The Farouk Janeman-coached team shocked the Brazilians with their style of play as they prepare for the Danone Cup in Brazil.
The pools and fixtures of the Danone Cup will be drawn in Paris tomorrow while the tournament kicks off officially on Saturday with 40 teams participating.
Meanwhile, the Suva soccer team suffered another loss in the Fiji Football Association-sanctioned NEWWORLD Super Six Series after losing to Rewa 1-0 at the Vodafone Ratu Cakobau Park last night.
National Karate rep Marika Rodu scored the lone goal of the encounter which did not provide much spark.
The win has placed Rewa on third position in the standings with 12 points while Suva sits at the tail end without a win.
