Fiji U19 eyes FORU win
August 28, 2008

The Fiji rugby team is confident of winning the Federated Oceania Rugby Union (FORU) Under-19 tournament in Nadi next week.

Team official Uraia Toribau said morale was high ahead accompanied by the inspirational help of Fiji 15s coach Ilivasi Tabua.

“Fitness level is above par and we are ready to score victories,” said Toribau.

“We have the best crop of local secondary school players and we should win the tournament.”

“Tonga and Samoa will be tough. They will be physical and their speed out wide would be one of the areas we would close down,” added Toribau.

Fiji faces Samoa, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Tonga and the Cook Islands in the tournament.
