The Lautoka soccer side will be all out to beat defending champions Labasa in the feature match of this weekend’s round of NEWWORLD Super Six Series at Subrail Park
The Blues beat Vodafone Labasa 4-1 in the first round of the League and will look for a similar result this time around to remain in the hunt for the top spot.
Lautoka soccer boss Shalendra Prasad said playing Labasa at Subrail Park is always difficult because the support the Babasiga Lions have in their home ground is overwhelming but is adamant his boys will upset the hosts come Saturday afternoon.
“Labasa had a great start to Super Six and are undefeated and it will be a mammoth task for our boys and I am confident of a win on Saturday as the players have got their acts right after the Suva game and the team morale is very high.
“Our top striker Netani Momoivalu is expected to make the run on team after serving his suspension last week and the other injured players have also recovered for the big clash.
“The preparations have been good with the coach Dennis Singh spending more time with the defenders as our defence hasn’t been steady in the last couple of games” added Prasad.
New signings Laisenia Tuba, Niumaia Tagi, Valerio Nawatu and Leone Vurukania alongside Netani Momoivalu, Jone Vono Junior, Arvindra Naidu, Semesa Doidoi, Ilaitia Nukurawa, Malakai Waqa and the evergreen Shalesh Sami Bula will lead the Blues charge.
The Vodafone Labasa-Lautoka clash kicks off at 1pm on Saturday.

Labasa and Lautoka, both play a very high standard of soccer, and, this weekend, have to prove their superiority. Hence, this is deemed to be a very exciting clash. Lautoka can beat Labasa. On the other hand, Labasa has to maintain her winning streak at home. Now, if no body minds, may I say, GO LIONS !!

Well, Labasa players can be sold cheaply, just buy two, and lautoka will win.

Well in LA vs Ltk it's lautoka most of the times the victors. But this match will be in there ground so it will be a good one cause it's never easy in Labasa it will be over packed and sold out!!

transfer window in the middle of a soccer season is a shame. FFA is to be blamed. why now it could have been better if transfer window opens in off soccer season.I think FFA ran out of cash.
