The much awaited decider in the NEWWORLD National Soccer League between Nadi and Vodafone Ba at Prince Charles Park tomorrow has been postponed.
This is because of the ‘Men In Black’s’ friendly match against the touring BYU Cougars tomorrow.
National League board secretary Hari Raj Naicker said the match has been postponed until next week.
“Ba was scheduled to play the Cougars in their first match on tour and the visitors have only got one week to spend in the country. They cannot afford to play Ba later as they will fly back next Tuesday. BYU also have two other matches to play.”
“We cannot instruct Ba to play Nadi and then BYU team later in the week because Ba has another important clash against Vodafone Labasa this weekend; therefore after consultations with the districts, we decided to shift the Ba-Nadi match to next Wednesday.”
“BYU club looked after our national team well on its tour of US last year and we need to give them priority. We allow them to play their matches against the teams they desire to play,” added Naicker.
In this weekend’s fixtures; Ba and Labasa will clash at Govind Park at 3pm on Sunday, simultaneously Lautoka and Rewa meet at the Vodafone Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
The results of the round are expected to give some indication as to which district would represent the country in the Oceania League with only one match remaining after this weekend.

What a crap. FFA knew well in advance when the NL finishes, they release the fixtures at the beginning of the season and should have accommodated BYU after the final round of NL. Well anyways that's nothing new Lautoka will seal the deal this weekend. Its all very clear now as to what's happening in FFA. The visiting team could have played Lautoka first on Thursday, than Suva on Friday & finally Nadi on Monday why Ba if the FFA knows Ba needs to complete the NL and has important clashes this week and there schedule is tight. So does FFA seems its fair on Lautoka to play the visitors on Friday and than play Rewa which is there important clash. Shy on FFA, come on FFA these district are developed and well equipped give exposure to Nasinu & Tavua which really needs the backing of FFA both technically & financially. Its too late to change anything but hope in future FFA uses some common sense.

Didnt they know that BYU was coming and didnt they plan for the match if they wanted to really accomodate that team.remember the last two tactics didnt work for Ba and this would again not work.

It is not the first time, look at the history the Ba's games had been delayed to futher dates, look at the history in the past years, everytime the other 9 teams are about to finish the league matchers but BA's games are left, the reason for this is Fiji F.A only wants BA to win the league that's why.......!Last year when LABASA won the League they should have played the O-League but insert the rule was made the the first round winner will play the o-League, still what happened BA lost badly but dont worry this year they won't get the chance to play the o-league, or even win the national league too, coz 2008 is Labasa's year and if they do meet LABASA in the semi-finals then ohh dear lord i feel too sorry what will happen.

Is the freindly game of more importnace than the league games. BYU could have played Nadi in their second game and tuk on Lautoka but FA wants to Give time to BA coz they were having two tuf games this week.
So whats on now! ............. shift the Lautoka Rewa game also or all the games to next week ..... wake up FA ........ we are not ur play cards
