Tavua bounce back at home

By Sunil Sharma

Tavua bounced back from a 3-1 loss to Lautoka yesterday to beat Nadroga 2-0 at Garvey Park today.

Two second half goals from Vilitati Ratu and Loveneel Pratap ensured Tavua’s third win of the season.

After playing nine matches Tavua have 10 points from three wins and a draw from nine games.

Tavua FA president Shalendra Roy was a happy man.

“It’s a great performance I must say.

“My players kept the momentum burning from yesterday’s game despite the loss and just put in more effort today for the win.

“Finishing has been our downfall in previous games but today the players stepped up their game and scored goals which mattered.”

Comments could not be obtained from the Nadroga camp.

Nadroga remain winless with two points from seven games.
