The pools of the much awaited Inter District Championship will be drawn this Thursday at the Courts Fiji Limited Samabula branch.
IDC is the last and the largest event on Fiji Football Association’s annual calendar and is often attended by a record number of people.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Bob Kumar said the hype surrounding the tournament has begun already and people are waiting eagerly for the Pool draws.
“IDC is the most prestigious event on the Fiji FA calendar and Fiji people living all across the globe wait eagerly for the tournament,” said Kumar.
“It is the biggest tournament since we have competition in the various grades.”
“I wish to thank the sponsors, Courts Fiji Limited for their support and this year’s tournament indeed will be bigger and better.”
“Our office has been busy doing all the administrative work for the tournament while our academy staff in Ba are working with the grounds and other arrangements.”
“We will also have the presence of some top OFC officials in the tournament as well” Kumar added.
Navua is the defending super premier champion while Dreketi holds the premier division title. DAV College Ba is the defending secondary schools champion.
The 2010 Courts IDC will be played at Govind Park from 7-11 October.
