Nadi’s winless run in the National Football League continued as Suva piped the Jetsetters 1-0 at Prince Charles Park.
Suva’s lone goal of the match was scored by Krishna Sami in the 35th minute of the second half.
Suva president Mahen Prasad said his team proved to critics that they can play in hot condition.
"I am very happy with the win and what the boys achieved," he said.
"Not only did we win but we have also sent a strong message to all those that have been saying we can't play in hot conditions. We did that today and we won."
Suva now has six points on the table after winning two of their four clashes in the CJ Patel sponsored competition.
