Lautoka wary of Fijian trio in Hekari November 04, 2009
The Lautoka football side is wary of the fact that they will be up against three Fijian players when they take on Hekari Souths United of Papua New Guinea in their Group B fixture of the O League on Saturday.
National strikers Pita Bolaitoga, Tuimasi Manuca and seasoned defender Lorima Dau will all feature for the star studded Hekari outfit which also has the services of some crafty Solomon Islanders.
Shop and Save Blues president Shalendra Prasad said they will be taking a very cautious approach against the hosts as they will be well versed with Lautoka’s style and formation of play.
“I am expecting a very tough match from Hekari as they will be playing on their home soil and that too with three Fijian players, all of who are top players and in very good form.”
“Their defence and attack both has Fijian players and we can expect them to come out firing as they will be very familiar with our style of play.”
“Coach Imdad Ali has been working on his game pattern and combination for the match and we should counter them well on Saturday.”
“We already have a win and another three points this weekend will enhance our chances of playing in the O League final.”
“We will have Valerio Nawatu and Salesh Kumar joining the team for this match and there should be some exciting combination upfront with players like Shalesh Sami Bula, Kamal Hassan and Keni Doidoi.”
“James Chronopoulous and Nahuel Arrarte along with Salesh Kumar will join us in PNG on Friday afternoon while Samuela Vula is expected to fly in direct to Port Moresby after missing the flight with the rest of the team due to visa rejection.”
The Lautoka- Hekari match kicks off at 5pm (Fiji Time) on Saturday.
