Fiji out of FUTSAL after 9-2 loss
June 12, 2008

The Fijian FUTSAL side has exited the race for a spot in the upcoming World Cup after they suffered their third consecutive defeat with two games remaining in the Oceania FUTSAL World Cup qualifiers.

This, after the hosts were dumped 9-2 by a fit and skillful Tahiti side at the Vodafone Arena early this evening.

The Tahitian team remains unbeaten in the round robin competition and will take on the other unbeaten side in the competition so far, the Solomon Islands.

Tahiti will then take on Vanuatu on Saturday.

More to come …..

Well done Fiji, you did very well considering the circumstances. At least you had the courage to put a team in and put up a brave performance. Keep up the hard work and you will do better next time.

Me, next time when? Till Sahu Khan and party rule the show, we will keep talking about next time. Their help for Ba was even short-lived as they stopped winning!!!!!

kO"666" sharma, can we get something postive from you. all your comments has been negative even against your own labasa players. Why don't you take over from Mr Sahu Khan and show us how things are done.

k06sharma, I think you should stand up for the next Fiji FA election and replace Sahu Khan and party. Make the changes!

By the way I was not talking about Fiji FA or BA, just congratulating the Fiji boys for thier gutsy performance!! Encouragement !

Wat a looserrr? Where does Ba come into this whole 5 a side soccer fraternity.

I know you have not been able to come to terms with Labasa's loss in recent Fiji Fact. Mate, it will only sink in if you let it. Stop convincing yourself by blaming Ba.

The Labasa president just after game was quoted saying All labasa players are up for sale and now he has these investigations bla bla to deal with. The players concerned are not a flight risk. Let them join whichever district they want to and LFA can carry on with their investigations, if there is a need for one.

Again...KO6Sharma...is always pcking BA...why??? is he ...or he cant accept the fact that BA has won more tournament then his ..Vanua Levu ..turn Labasa TEAM.. labasa is whole VANUA LEVU team,,,, AND THAT IS THE FACT ... and stop complaining about Fiji Team...

Tishwa, by the logic that Labasa is Vanua Levu team, Ba is a Fiji team - as they take players from just about everywhere.

Labasa has helped Ba in the past by supplying players and will do so in the future.

Because Labasa is the champion. Not Ba.

Ba just cleans cups for other teams to take. They cleaned CVC for 14 years, Fact for 4 years. That makes them expert cleaners.

Well the selection criteria is questionable. Looking at the Fiji's games they lacked fitness, cohesion, and guts to play. Was there any game plan for every game. At least we as a host should have done much better. Better luck next time!!
