Fiji Football coach Juan Carlos Buzzetti is a proud man saying his product has achieved his personal goal of featuring on the world stage and is confident that Roy Krishna will do well for his Waitakere United club at the Club World Cup.

“I was really thrilled to know of Waitakere United’s win and am really happy for Roy as he has achieved his personal goal of playing on the international stage.”

“I have always guided him and gave him advice whenever he needed it and being so focussed and dedicated, Roy always told me that he would like to learn more always and make his family and the nation proud through his achievements.”

“Though he did not feature in the finals due to his ineligibility, he is all set for the Club World Cup because he has really impressed his coach and management in the games that he has played and they want to fully utilise his services as he is good listener and a very well disciplined player.”

“ Roy has been one of finest products of recent times and is role model to the other young and aspiring footballers in the country and I wish him all the very best in his bright and lucrative football career that lies ahead of him” added Buzzetti.

Buzzetti spotted the Siberia lad during the Courts/Homecentres IDC 2006 where he featured for his All Saints Secondary School and drafted the nippy striker in his national U20 team that went to do wonders in the OFC Qualifiers in New Zealand with Krishna showing his class and winning the “Golden Boot” after finishing off as the top goal scorer having scored nine goals in the tourney.

Krishna jets into the country this evening for a short family commitment and would return to New Zealand to join his multi starred Waitakere United team mates to prepare for the World Club Cup later this year.
