Ni Vanuatu Joseph Nimariau was the hero for his Suva side as he scored the winning goal for the host midway in the second spell to send the Vodafone Men In Black packing edging them 2-1 in the feature match of the NEWWORLD National League at the National Stadium.
The USP student was in form for the Power Electric-sponsored team, time and again pressurising the Ba defence which was marshalled by Olympians Alvin Singh, Avinesh Swamy and goalkeeper Nicholas Lawrence.
Ba took the lead in the 38th minute of the first spell when Ronald Lawrence connected well to finish off a Shamil Rao free kick which was headed in the path of Lawrence by Malakai Keinahewe.
Suva backed by over 5000+ fans equalised two minutes later through Alvin Prasad who neatly placed the ball beyond the reach of Lawrence.
In the second half, Suva played with more urgency and scored their winning goal in the 18th minute through Nimariau who beat three Ba defenders to find the back the back of the net.
Ba midfielder Ronald Lawrence was given his marching orders by referee Dhiren Kewal after copping his second booking.
The Capital City side after the win have cemented their position in the Super Six Series which will commence after the Fiji FACT tournament.
Meanwhile Navua’s hopes of featuring in the Super Six were dashed after the Suva win despite their impressive 3-1 victory in another fixture played this afternoon at Thompson Park.
Navua will feature in the Bottom Four competition along with Nasinu, Tavua and Nadroga.

You are eating your own words now. Are you telling me there were no development plans while Ba was winning tournaments? Come on! You gotta be joking! With a development team will your dear President have vowed to rattle Labasa? You gotta be kidding!

Who is claiming Suva is champs? In fact Ba people are so stupid they claim Ba is champ. I am saying Ba was champ, cause these Ba people bring up history. What happened BA? Champs dont lose like this. You claim that you are champ of soccer but you have lost twice to Labasa than to 2nd grade Lautoka team and Suva and will lose again to Labasa and Nadi in the other pending games . Ba-Nasinu game was bought for $1,500. Can any nasinu official reading this deny this? I have evidence to prove that. Nasinu should be automatically relegated to Premier division for this and Ba should go into Bottom 4. Shame on Ba for such an act. When Ba loses a game then we see people making fun of the Ba team.These same people were mouth shut when in recent years Ba used to beat all the teams with a big scoreline. Where were u then?
Almost all the players in current Ba squad are under 23. When our players play good, they are bought by overseas clubs and sometimes local clubs here.
Ba is beatable. Suva was a good team. Ba grow their own players. We don't need Vanuatu or Solomon imports like other teams to achieve victory. Many districts have stolen our players. Shame on them

The reality is there is no excuse what so ever when a team like Ba loses and it maybe a bitter pill to swallow if you're a BA fan, The fact is BA is in its rebuilding phase to prepare the current crop of players in the BA team (No imports or foreign players)to be future champions and kings of soccer of Fiji.The fact is that Ba Soccer is miles ahead in its developmental stages then any other district in FIJI.Ofcourse BA will lose games now(perhaps for the year),fine...all fans of other districts are seeing the BA loses as a downfall of a champion team..which i asure is a temporary and shortlived dreams of other districts and its fans thinking with primitive monkey minds that Ba is gone...wake up all of you when reality bites in the near future(just remember BA is just rebuilding at the moment)so watchout..enjoy the little glory and happiness for only a short time..yell and make comments like an uneducated person,no sense of purpose or direction some of our districts fans have apart from Ba."The MIB will be BACK SOON!then you all will learn the vital lesson of the rebuilding phase a soccer team goes through before becoming champions! I hope Doc is reading these comments.Atleast he will know what people think about Fiji Fa and its hidden agenda in supporting Ba.
To all the Ba fans,remove the Academy from Ba and than we shall see where the development of Ba team is.
Have a look at the records of their local league and you will know where their development.
Had it not been for the Sahu Khan Academy(Thanks to Doc and Fiji Fa) Ba would have become history.
I have no grudges against Ba but it hurts to see that only they get the development benefits.
If Fiji Fa had been more consistent with their development efforts Fiji soccer would have become the champions of Ocenia soccer.
But alas Doc has been putting all efforts on Ba in the guise of the Sahu Khan Academy.
And to all those who say that Ba produces its own players,just have a look at the current Ba team and do a numbers count of where each player is originally from and you will all know what Iam talking about.
The players may not have played for any district but they are not originally from Ba.The fact is that these players are part of the Fiji Fa development squad which is based at the Academy and pinched by Ba.
So please soccer lovers get together and do something about this rot.
We want Fiji soccer as the winner and not a particular district.

Basupporter, like you said Suva is the largest assorsiation is true with highest number of clubs is true, but in the game of soccer only 11 players play at one time and not the whole city or all clubs or the whole assorsiation, just a week ago Suva lost to Navua a team that buys players from all over Fiji and didnt even qualify in top 6, saying this it does not mean Suva dont buy players, infect every team does...this is the fact, another fact remains see in every team and you'll find at least one player will be a Suva born, ON another hand Ba has been gifted with the acedamy to produce youn players which other district dont have, a Ba man is seating as Fiji FA president for 2 decades but again Fiji fail to beat teams like New-celadonia, Fiji national team is dominated by Ba players but Ba fail to beat teams like Labasa, Suva, Lautoka, Ba's matches are been moved around to accomodate Ba's wishes, if everything is in Ba's favour they should be winning each and every game....no use giving Nasinu and Tavua 9-0 if Suva can nail you guys badly.
