Olympian Maciu Dunadamu scored two brilliant goals as the Vodafone Labasa side recorded yet another win in the NEWWORLD National Soccer League at Subrail Park against Navua 2-1 this afternoon.
Both teams displayed constructive football but poor finishing let the visitors down as time and again Navua forwards missed scoring opportunities in the match.
Dunadamu could have scored atleast four more goals in the match he been on target as the lanky national striker outclassed the Navua defence with his bursting speed and crafty footwork.
Navua managed to pull one through a penalty later in the match.
Labasa soccer boss Abinesh Kumar said they were only after a win and was glad that the boys have maintained their unbeaten run on home ground.
"We have one very important game in the CVC against Ba next weekend and this win is just the positive way forward for us as we build up for that game with a win in the bag."
"Navua was a good side and they played very well but we were a better side and won the match."
" The boys will now go in camp from Monday to prepare for the CVC which we want to win at any cost and everyone just knows how important it is for us to win the title" added Kumar.
In the league fixtures tomorrow, Lautoka hosts Suva, Nadi plays Tavua and Nasinu faces Rewa.
