Minister for Education, Filipe Bole has indicated that an officer has been provisionally promoted for the position of Principal at Rishikul Sanatan College but due to appeals lodged within the stipulated 21days, the case is now being handled by the Public Service Appeals Board.
In a statement from the Ministry of Education, Bole confirmed that the appeal will be heard on May 20th with the outcome known within seven days of the hearing when all the necessary arrangements and transfer processes will then follow.
“We wish to confirm that the hearing date is the prerogative of the appeals board and the fact that it is outside the time frame requested for by the management, is beyond the control of the Ministry of Education, adding the process has taken a little longer due to circumstances beyond the Ministry’s control,” he added.
With school leadership always a priority for the Education Ministry, Bole has pointed out that an extensive screening process was conducted to select the most meritorious candidate for Rishikul College.
However, he has requested the school management to exercise patience during this period, so that term two begins smoothly at the school.
